Finally, Fast and Furious 9 debuts in the cinemas after being delayed for about a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was released June 25th in Nigeria and is available in cinemas all over the country.
Written by Daniel Casey, Lustin Lin and Alfredo Botello. Like other Fast and Furious franchise, it involves taking up a difficult mission and seeing if the team is up to task. It's action packed, great stunts, competitive combats and delightful entertainment.
Mr Nobody enlists the help of Jakob, Dom's younger brother to take revenge on Dom and his team. The storyline is bland and very much quite predictable and none of the action scenes were realistic. Remember how you felt after seeing The Wedding Party 2? Oh well get ready for something similar.
The acting was decent, John Cena did incredibly well and the humour was quite acceptable. Cardi B also made a cameo appearance.
I like how they told us Dom's backstory as mentioned in the very first movie and it was quite interesting as it explains more about the Dom character, opening us to his world and all that.
The opening scene stoodout and the first 20 minutes were okay. A nice plot but the unrealistic actions kind of ruined it. Despite the unrealistic nature of the film, even though it was anticipated, the sequence was quite entertaining.
